Program Overview

The Campecine Youth Academy is a applied research program that will train youth to conduct research and enact social change in their community.

Eligibility
Latina/o youth who:

Live in Marion County, Indiana;
Have an interest in using new digital media technology (video, graphics, web-based & audio production); and
Have an interest in community building and social change.
Interested in financial management, college preparation, and personal development

Benefits
Youth will:

develop relevant problem solving and critical thinking skills;
be equipped with social science research and new media skills;
develop leadership and public speaking skills;
be exposed to various careers and gain employability skills;
be encouraged to graduate from high school and attain a post-secondary education;
enhance their sense of civic responsibility through participatory action research; and
develop useful social networks and collective consciousness.
